Why did you create CloudContacts?
Simple, we wanted a better way to use the contacts we made at events, conferences and everywhere else. Our cards were stuck on our desks and not being used when they were most needed. CloudContacts changes that by allowing you to access your contacts from anywhere, anytime.
What services does CloudContacts support?
We support exporting to most of the popular email applications including Outlook, Entourage, Thunderbird and Exchange. We provide links where possible to social networking services including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. In addition, our general export should work for all other services.
Do you support Microsoft Outlook?
Yes, we sure do support Microsoft Outlook. We have setup a customized export for Microsoft Outlook which will allow you easily get your business cards into Microsoft Outlook.
How does CloudContacts compare to business card scanners?
Our process provides accurate data from the business card plus so much more. We hear that many times business card scanners require you to manually fix each card. Also, using our service takes just a few moments, not hours of processing.
What happens to my business cards?
Once we process your cards, you can view an image of each business card anytime. Your cards can either be returned to you or you can opt to have your cards recycled. Our goal is to recycle 1 million cards this year.
How long does it take for the business cards to be scanned and transcribed?
For batches up to 150, we ask for 48 hours from time of receipt. For batches up to 1,000, we ask for 1 week from time of receipt. We do offer a rush option as well which is available during the ordering process. We always provide updates as soon as they are ready, generally before the above selected delivery times.
Do you accept international orders?
Yes! We are happy to accept your international orders and we have already processed cards from nearly every country on earth (still working on a few countries in Africa to complete the world).
Can you add X service to your lineup?
If we have another service we'd like CloudContacts to work with, how do we get it setup?
Just let us know what services you would like us to connect to and we will add it to the upcoming services list.
How much does CloudContacts cost?
We have a variety of different packages based on the number of business cards you have. Check out our ordering page to view all of the available options.
What's a credit?
We use a credits model for processing your business cards. Here's a breakdown of how credits are used:
- one credit = business cards processed with addresses located in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Western Europe and Australia
- two credits = business cards processed with addresses located elsewhere
What payment methods do you accept?
Currently we process orders through Paypal and all major credit cards. For corporate orders, checks are also accepted.
Do you process two-sided cards? What about handwritten notes?
Yes, we transcribe content on both sides of the business card. We transcribe handwritten notes as well as long as we can read them. In a very small percentage of cases, the notes are like short novels on the back of the business cards. In this case, we may ask for a small additional transcription charge. We will let you know before we begin the work if there is any additional transcription charge.
